    Hi @Norseviking

The North Coast 500 is breath taking all the way around. You will want to stop for photos all the time.
There are plenty of lochs, view points, castles, beaches all calling out to photographers but the best thing to do is take your time and discover your own spots.

Ardvreck castle is a beauty. Sheildaig is a really pretty spot, especially if you take a walk out along the peninsula - you'll get get views of loch Sheildaig and the Torridon mountains. (Photo below was taken in January and it's still spectacular)

Hi @Norseviking I visited the NC500 last year and I have to say the West Coast section is amazing for a photographer especially around Kylesku.

    Best regards

@Norseviking you'll be sure to find plenty of beautiful spots on the NC500, one of my favourite drives to take in Scotland! The east coast portion of the route has Dunrobin Castle and Duncansby Head as notable stop offs, as well as John o'Groats. My favourite part of the route however is from Sango Bay to Ullapool, you'll be stopping more than you'll be driving around this picturesque part of Scotland  beautiful sandy beaches and towering unique mountains line this part of the NC500... Have a fun trip!!

    Gruinard Bay...
