Here’s an article we have written about April in Scotland - with lots of pics showing the very varied weather to be expected. ‘April is the cruellest month’ - the poet says  - but early spring in Scotland can also be superb and it’s worth taking the chance. Hail or heatwave, there’s plenty to see.

April in upper Deeside, looking north on the road between Braemar and Inverey. The meltwaters of the Quoich run down to join the young River Dee. Still some snow on the Cairngorms above.
