Hello and so nice to meet you!

I can't tell you how glad I am that I've found this nice community! I've always felt an attraction to Scotland and now I'm determined to finally plan my first, hopefully amazing trip there! I have a friend living in Glasgow and she confirmed all that I've gather so far regarding Scotland and Scottish people: fabulous landscapes, wonderful and rich history, old castles, friendliness, relaxed atmosphere, great events, and I would add a certain amount of "magic" to it all :) My instincts tell me my already formed opinions will stay true :) I will go ahead and post under the other topics to ask for tips regarding my trip and other details (like how is the food? :) but for now I just wanted to introduce myself and thank you for your initiative of having this online community!

Hi @Raluca, welcome to the community. If there is anything that we can do for you, just ask?

Thank you so much! Until I plan my visit I was wondering if you could recommend an online resource or community for learning Scottish English and Scottish Gaelic? I've found some myself online, but was wondering if you by any chance could also recommend something. I really have a weakness for this language :) and would love to get familiar with at least some basic expressions before I leave. Thank you!!
