Where to stay?

My wife, daughter and myself, took a holiday in Scotland this year for the very first time. We were captivated. So we shall be back in September 18 again for two weeks. This year we rented a lovely house in Stronchreggan on the western shore of Loch Linnhe. We toured much of the area around the loch and ventured to Oban, Mull, Mallaig, Glenfinnan, Fort William and the southern part of the Great Glen. In 18 we would like to go a little further north and find somewhere that is equidistant between Kyle of Lochalsh and Inverness as we would like to visit Skye, Applecross and Culloden, etc. Ideally a two bedroom cottage with preferred shower facility. if anyone could offer suggestions it would be appreciated.

There are many cottages and self catering houses in Applecross, Torridon and Strathpeffer!  Hope this has helped!

@mkdreflected I’d second @VisitScotlandLiam suggestions.  All stunning places but I have a particular soft-spot for Strathpeffer.  It’s a lovely town and a great base for exploring Culloden, Applecross and more.

what about Auchrannie Resort on Arran? Beautiful resort and fantastic, accessible island close to the central belt!

Will be visiting Scotland after a few days in Ireland. Plan to stay for about 4 days and was thinking we would stay at different places so we could drive the country.  Any suggestions on this and places to stay?

Hi @Katrina sounds like a fun trip!

Where to stay will depend on what it is that you're interested to see in Scotland. Do you prefer castles? Small towns? Cities? Are you interested in exploring the lochs and Highlands?

Let us know what you have in mind and we'll be happy to advise!
