SCOTTISH SETTLEMENTS WITH NINE LETTERS
There seem to be a lot of places in Scotland with nine letters; so, similarly to the 10-letter thread, share your favourites here!S T R O M N E S S
I've never failed to be impressed by Stromness. A historic town of winding alleyways and cobbled roads, it huddles around the Brinkies' Brae, a hill to the west. Stromness has an excellent natural harbour, and there are always lots of fishing boats in. It also has an excellent museum, a brilliant art gallery, good places to eat and the views from the Point of Ness are stunning.
