Hotels rooms in august

I plan to visit scotland mountains areas in august by car.
I don't make hotel reservations in advance.
Can I take the chance to travel without hotel bookings in areas outside big cities, or I risk
to to have to sleep in the car?

Hi @nonkel and welcome to the community! :) I would definitely recommend that you book your accommodation for the month of August, especially if you plan to stay in the Scottish Highlands which are so beautiful making the region a popular visitor destination.  This section of our website may be of use to you in searching for accommodation and should you require any further assistance our network of VisitScotland iCentres offer an Accommodation Booking Service.  I hope you have a great holiday! :)
