Islay and Kintyre

We will be spending a couple of weeks in early September on Islay & Kintyre and are  looking for any recommendations  on things to do or see that may not be on the normal tourist itinerary. We are seniors so nothing particularly strenuous, but enjoy wildlife, history and appreciate the scenery. Thanks for any suggestions

    Hi Samantha
Distillery already pencilled in though I was unaware of the gin connection.
Jura and the Singing Sands are certainly on our plans and Kildalton, Finlaggan & Mull of Oa are as well now. My wife is already a fan of local soaps with seem very popular on Scottish Isles so we will no doubt be spiriting some soap away on this trip.
Thanks for the recommendations, we have been to many Scottish Isles so Islay has a lot to live up to and from what you say it probably will

    Regards
