Passes

We will be in Scotland for 12 days at the end of May/early June, and I've purchased the annual Scottish Heritage Pass.  One downside to purchasing this pass and not the Historic Scotland Explorer Pass (available 7 out of 14 days) seems to be that we won't be allowed to skip the lines at Edinburg and Stirling Castles.  I was wondering, typically how long are the entry lines at these castles?  Thank you.

@smooretexan if you visit the castles for opening you'll be able to avoid the queues and enjoy a far better visitor experience too. Both are wonderful to visit but Edinburgh in particular can become a crowded slow shuffle attraction during high season.
