What day of week to see Edinburgh Tattoo?

Hi Everyone,
My wife and I are planning our 25th Anniversary trip in 2018 to Scotland (I'm a McLeod, she's a McIntosh) and we plan on taking in the Tattoo. I'm curious as to whether the itinerary is the same every day ... that is, if we went on a Monday night, will what we see be (essentially) the same on a Thursday night? Is any night better than the others?

The show is exactly the same for every performance. However there is an extended fireworks display at the end of the second performance on Saturdays. Please have a look at the dates and times for this year. Enjoy the show!!5
