A month in Scotland!

Hallo all!
I am looking for a place to stay in Scotland far the entirety of February for a family of 7: 3 adults and 4 kids under 7.
I think my biggest concern is whether I can place the kids in the local school for that month.  Of course we also need to find a place to call home for the month and figure out transportation. I will be spending most of my time writing while the other 6 will be enjoying their every day life in beautiful Alba.
Any advice and information you are willing to share is greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

I think you have to decide on where you wish to stay...City,town or country first and then contact the local education authority. Personally I would go to a rural location which would be easier for  your kids to integrate. I'm biased but I think you could do well in Perthshire. It's not too far from Edinburgh and Glasgow and well placed for other locations in Scotland. I live in Comrie for many years and there is a good Primary School there perhaps that would give you somewhere to start? It's a largish village in a beautiful location with good amenities.

Thank you very much for your response. I will certainly look into Perthshire. I love both Edingurgh and Glasgow.
As much I like urban I do agree with you on staying rural; with all of us going it needs to be a little more accessible.
