Golf with kids

Hello, can anyone recommend where I could take my nephew for a fun golf day out near Edinburgh? Pitch and putt or similar? Thanks!

Hi @JenniEdinburgh , Bruntsfield Links is a short hole course and it's in the middle of a city park, surrounded by schools, shops and houses. And best of all - it's free to play if you have your own clubs and balls, or you can hire clubs and a pint for a small fee. Portabello Golf Course is another short hole course, with Arthur's Seat in the backdrop, and it's perfect for a beginner or child.

The Hermitage 9 hole golf course is pretty laid back (no dress code and players can share clubs) and is a great start for kids. My kids had lessons there when they were younger. Set in the Braid Hills to the South of the city, it has stunning views of Edinburgh - a bonus!  :)
