We are planning on a road trip around Scotland pretty imminently ( bookings all done) and need some advice on the routes from- I have studied the brochures & the forums on Visit scotland and have formed a rough plan
1) Glasgow to Oban- planning a short stop at Loch Lomond followed by lunch at Inverary
2) Oban to Portree- drive via Glencoe & Mallaig. how much time should I set aside for a very short tramp at Glencoe.
3) Portree to Inverness- after a stop at Eilean Donan do you recommend a drive via Garve or Loch Ness. I could otherwise squeeze in a day trip from Inverness to Loch Ness if we drive via Garve, or spend the extra day In Black Isles
4) Inverness to Edinburgh- Better place for a lunch break and a bit of look see- Pilotchry or St. Andrews
We are planning on 2 days at each of the stays & 3 at Edinburgh
Advice on things to do would be great
Cheers in advance
