The Ibis at Springfield Quay is an excellent cheap bed for the night. The rooms are really modern and clean. I often use it if I'm attending gigs at the nearby Hydro. It's perfect for food and drinks too, with plenty of options in the complex. They also do a really good value continental breakfast.

I've also stayed at the Campanile but sadly I wouldn't return.

CitizenM is a really quirky budget boutique in Glasgow. We love it. We've stayed several times. It's perfectly located in the city centre too.

I do like a budget break in Glasgow.  If you shop around out of season or mid week you can also get some excellent deals at some of the non budget hotels.  I've had some great bargains over the years, one of my favourite being the Grand Central. A gorgeous old hotel.
