Day Trip: Glasgow to Stirling (and Beyond)
Wondering about the practicality, and possibly some advise, on doing a day trip from Glasgow to Stirling, by train (or bus) to visit the Castle and Wallace Monument, and also trying to squeeze in a side trip to visit the Doune Castle and a sampling stop at the Deanston Distillery.
Is a trip like this doable in the course of a day without being too rushed? Also, is transportation readily available from the Stirling train station out to the distillery, Doune Castle and back?
Thanks in advance.
