I want to teach in rural Scotland

If I were to take a job in a rural but not too small community (20,000+) in Scotland, where would you recommend I live? I love the ocean but also love quaint and histortic. Names of towns or even recommendations of areas would be greatly appreciated.

@MerryAnn I think I would be looking for where there are jobs first and then researching the area surrounding the school. There are many places in Scotland that would fit the bill but there may not be a job available.
