Think of Edinburgh and first thing that probably springs to mind is the castle. But there’s lots more to Scotland’s Capital.
From the atmospheric Old Town closes to the grand New Town, the vibrant buzz of festival and everyone’s favourite, Greyfriar’s Bobby.
Thankfully there are great bus tours to get visitors around the sights.
Some explore Edinburgh’s royal connections, like the Palace of Holyroodhouse and the Royal Yacht Britannia, whilst others journey through centuries of Scottish history, recalling stories of grave robbers, grim Old Town life and enlightened New Town figures on the way.
All are fascinating.
