Frontier of the Roman Empire.
The Antonine Wall was placed on the World Heritage List in 2008 by UNESCO for its value to all humanity.
The wall was 37 miles long, the best preserved part is in the small village of Bonnybridge (just outside Falkirk) where you can roam in Seabegs Wood and find the earthworks of the ramparts and ditches of Roughcastle Fort which was the smallest fort along the wall. Although the area is now grassed over it still gives good impressions on the layout from over 2000 yrs ago.
If you have been there or plan on going please share photos of your experience here.
