When I go somewhere different I always like to read a book that is set in or about the place I am going to. I have just visited the Isle of Harris and read Peter May's "Coffin Road". Also took "His Bloody Project" by Graeme McRae Burnett which, although set in Applecross, gave a vivid picture of a crofting community in the 19th century.
Can anyone suggest other titles set in different parts of Scotland?
