Where to see autumn leaves?
I am curious if anyone has a favourite place to see autumn leaves and the change of foliage colours. My favourite so far would be walking from Dunkeld around
The Hermitage. I wonder what I might be missing out on though, as there are so many lovely forests and parks around Scotland.
Do you have a favourite walk, view or place in the autumn?

I seen this autumn leaf floating in front of my eyes when I was walking through the Smugglers' Trail near Dundonald Castle in Ayrshire ... spooky ... maybe this should be in the scary ghost story thread ...

The 14th century Dundonald Castle in Ayrshire and the ancient woodlands around it are a must explore. I've walked the Smugglers' Trail many times but this time I took a different path ... change is a great discovery!
I was overwhelmed and emotional with the shapes of trees and colours around me. I lost the path at one point. The biggest wow moment was when I reached the ruins of 16th/17th century Old Auchans House. I knew it was there somewhere, but lost my sense of direction as I'd walked a different way.
Then it was back to the castle visitor centre for tea and a scone
I'll be writing a blog post about this area soon but thought I'd share my autumn photos with you all first
