Tourism contact to help a US Veteran bring a reunion to Scotland

I have been asked by a military reunion planner to help find a contact in Scotland to help them plan a reunion in Scotland.
He is used to working with tourism bureaus in the US that introduce him to hotels and attractions in their city as well as suggest best times to visit etc.

I am asking the question in hopes of connecting someone to him.

Thank you for any help.

    Hi @SDanitschek

Thank you for your question. Do you have a specific place in mind where you wish to visit? Here in Scotland we have the Scottish Tourist Guides Association. I don't know if this is something you would be looking for or if you wish to do your travelling alone without a guide, but thought i would mention them anyway. They have guides in all different parts of the country so if you had a place in mind the guide for that area would be able to help you out. Visit their website here to see if this is the kind of thing you are looking for.

Your other option is the local information centres, known in Scotland as iCentres. Although we are working from home at the moment we still have daily access to our emails. If for instance you were looking to visit Edinburgh, their email address is simply [email protected] We have 26 iCentres so there will be one in the area that you wish to explore. Our Visitor Services Advisors can let you know of local hotels that meet your needs and what the best attractions are in the area.

I hope that is of some help to you and can get you started on your planning. We thank you for choosing to come to Scotland and we look forward to welcoming you when we are back open again. Stay Safe, Kind Regards Lindsay

    Hey Sharon!

A reunion in Scotland would be so cool!  What are the numbers?  Everyone wants Edinburgh, but as well as that, some fun in the wild Highlands could be amazing!  Let me know if I can help at all :)
