    Thanks Ronan!  It's actually a personal photo of my grandmother and great-grandmother (unfortunately both no longer with us), presumably taken sometime in the 1960s (?).  They were both Edinburgh residents and often travelled locally...so I'm guessing this location is within easy reach.  The geography looks quite unique so was hoping someone may still recognise it :smile: Appreciate any help you can offer.   Thanks again.

    I have been having a look at beaches around the Edinburgh area and by looking at Google Maps it looks very similar to Kinghorn Beach in Fife. Some of the buildings are different but the landscape looks pretty much the same.
