Sightseeing in Edinburgh

I'm going to visit the city later this year during a weekend and was wondering if the 3 day explorer pass (£ 26,50) is the best value for money
if you wanna go the castle and maybe three to four other places? This pass is available from the Historic environment Scotland website.

I'd say getting the 3 day explorer pass is worth it in terms of value for money if you're wanting to visit a few Historic Scotland sites whilst you're here.

Adult entry to Edinburgh Castle is £19.50 itself, so it makes it worth if you do just this and say Holyrood Palace for which an adult ticket is £16.50. Plus there are a few other Historic Scotland sites to see in Edinburgh and loads in Scotland if you're going a bit further afield :)
