Winter Birds in Galloway & Southern Ayrshire Biosphere

The Galloway & Southern Ayrshire UNESCO Biosphere is home to a number of bird species over the winter months. Many of these travel here from other countries to spend the winter in our area. We also have a good selection of native birds who are present all year round. Our Biosphere Experiences project is organising a bird watching weekend 31st Jan-2nd Feb 2020 which will be led by an experienced guide to seek out the most interesting viewings locally.
Accommodation and meals will be at the historic Selkirk Arms Hotel in Kirkcudbright and there will be some after dinner talks including an update from the South of Scotland Golden Eagle project.
For more information please visit the Galloway & Southern Ayrshire Biosphere website or Facebook page. Enquiries can be emailed to [email protected]
