Can i swim in any Loch?

i am touring Scotland for the next two weeks and would like to open water swim

    Hi @westtel - Yes you can swim in any of the lochs in Scotland. I'm not aware of your experience but just remember that some of them are tidal etc. 

    I am trying wild/outdoor swimming for the first time tomorrow and going with someone who has experience. 

    I believe there is a group that regularly meets at Kenmore (Perthshire) to swim in Loch Tay. 
    One of my friends has also been in at loch Leven at Kinross.

    hi thanks for the reply, yes I have some experience of wild swimming and have considered the whole tidal thing, I will not be on my own and we will swim with a swimming tow float so can be seen etc.
