Scotland's Women have qualified for this years Women's World Cup in France and are the first senior Scottish football team to qualify for a major tournament since the men's team at the 1998 World Cup in France, this is also the women's team's first World Cup.

Shelley Kerr's side face Argentina, Japan and England in their group, looking to progress to the knockout stages and get as far as they can.

They have been doing Scotland proud on the football front for a number of years and I'm sure everyone in the country will be watching on and cheering them on when their World Cup campaign kicks off against the English on the 9th of June.

I'll be watching, in particular, to midfielder Lizzie Arnot; as we went to school together.  She was always better than everyone else at football and duly deserves this opportunity.

Come on Scotland!
