My family and I are staying in Inverness for a week in mid-March. We'll be using Inverness as a base for day tripping around the Highlands. My husband and I were there in May, so we have a few places to take the family that we went to and places we didn't get to check off. I was wondering how 'green' the Highlands will be about that time of year. I know it depends a lot on Scotland's wildly erratic weather, but I was just looking for some opinions. Thanks.

We can still get snow at that time of year but it’s usually on higher ground. If you’re into hillwalking and have the skills then March/April is perfect for alpine days in the mountains.
Did you have anywhere specific in mind that you’d like to visit?
