Who fancies a bit of island hopping? These fantastic pictures taken by
@travelswithakilt and
@ellisoconnor are bound to get you in the mood. The Outer Hebrides are a MUST for anyone planning a trip or a staycation to Scotland, look below to give yourselves a few reasons to visit:
Wildlife
@travelswithakilt spotted these wild ponies that roam Eriskay, an island situated in between Barra and South Uist. It's a peaceful island with beautiful beaches and quaint villages.
Standing Stones

Along with the famous Callanish Standing Stones on the Isle of Lewis, there is also a Standing stone on Berneray., the Clach Mor Standing Stone that
@travelswithakilt has stumbled across above. The stone is 8 feet tall and looks over Loch Borve. With a population of just 138 people, Berneray drags tourists in to breathe in the incredible views.
Tranquility
@ellisoconnor snapped this peaceful shot on North Uist, where she lives. As you can tell from the picture above, how tranquil it'd be to call this beautiful island home.
Mystery

This last shot is of the uninhabited island of Pabbay, it is a realm of exploration. The Outer Hebrides has 15 uninhabited islands, so why not cut yourself a big slice of adventure cake and go and explore one? This stunning photo was taken by
