Hi there, my wife and I will be in Scotland for 2 weeks mid October and would love to pick a spot that isn't the norm for places to rest our heads. I have been looking at some of the B&B's that are on some farms and think that would be great to experience while we are there. Any other ideas for something that is quaint or at the end of a 1-way road that would be a unique stay for a couple? Oh, we are both amateur photographers as well if that helps! Will have a rental car while there so anyplace is an option! Thanks!

Another fave is Tigh Na Blair on Isle of Arran, I saw some spectacular sunrises and playful seals from my living room window. Here's my Isle of Arran writeup, definitely underrated compared to bigwigs like Skye but as amazing IMHO (mostly as it is so easy to get to)
More amazing recommendations (@Samantha_Grant is defo the expert in this area) on this thread: https://community.visitscotland.com/discussion/129/great-b-bs-in-scotland-where-and-why
Best of Scotland in 1 week itinerary (fully by public transport)
My Scotland travels (includes Edinburgh, Skye, Harris, Mull, Arran, Orkney, Loch Lomond, Islay, Oban, Dunoon, Speyside)
Have you thought about glamping? I have never tried it myself yet but it's something that appeals to me. Cosy, in the middle of nowhere, I'm sure you would find it a great experience
On top of the link I sent, you can also search glamping in the search box on the online community (top of the page) and read what other people have to say about it.
