Dundas Castle has announced a new luxury group package for Outlander fans to give you the chance to become the Laird and Lady of this 5-star 18th Century castle in South Queensferry.

The bespoke package includes exclusive use of the castle, accommodation, dinners, entertainment and an Outlander-themed tour of locations in Scotland. The castle has 17 bedrooms and is often used as a wedding venue.

Please remember that the filming of Craigh na Dun did not take place near Inverness. Many people are misreading the map that has been put together by Visit Scotland.

    The following section reads:
"Or venture beyond Inverness in search of the mysterious Craigh na Dun, which swept Claire back in time; the nearby Clava Cairns are said to have provided an inspiration for this site."

Clava Cairns were the inspiration of Craigh na Dun and not what you see in the series.
The actual Craigh na Dun film setting is at the back of Dunalastair reservoir in Perthshire.

I hope that clears a couple of things up because I have had several visitors who were a little disappointed.

    Best regards

Two bloggers from the US are about to come to Scotland on an Outlander themed trip - so would be worth keeping an eye on their social channels to see what they get up to!

Culross. Amazing place with or without "outlander". Such a well preserved town centre.
