Public toilets on Arran

People planning to visit Arran need to know that the public toilets have been closed by the local council to save money. There are a few that are being kept open by locals, however we drove to Lochranza in the more remote north of the island to find that the loo by the ferry port has been closed. I watched a man who was waiting for the ferry disappear behind the locked loos. I imagine this is a regular occurrence.  We had buy a coffee in the hotel in order to use the facilities. Not sure if Visit Scotland can put any pressure on the local council but it is sending out a message that tourists are not welcome!
