Ben Nevis mountain-track route

Hi everyone,
I plan  to go to Ben Nevis and I'm still wondering if you need a guide for the mountain track route. I'm used to walking but I've never walked that high. Any advice or experience to share would help me

Thanks !

Hi @VisitScotlandAngela, thanks a lot for your answer. Now I've got full information to decide whether or not to go on my own.
I will be there in mid-september, so I've got plenty of time to read all that. And I'll be glad to tell you how it was.
My biggest problem is that there are too many places I want to see once in Scotland, and not enough time to see it all  on one trip
